Janice was our sever, and she was AMAZING! She made our experience so much more enjoyable. We really appreciated her knowledge and attention to detail throughout our entire time. Came in with a party of 4 on a Friday for lunch, and we got seated right away. We went with the Gold Tier. We really enjoyed the Special Meats in this menu. The Special Dishes was a good experience, but as a group we didn’t have too much interest; we thought the lobster roll was a bit dry. Always great to end with some ice cream from the soft serve bar. Came here to celebrate my sister’s graduation and had such an amazing experience! We got the Gold Tier and the options were top tier. My mom’s a picky eater and she seriously enjoyed EVERY. SINGLE. ITEM. Troy was our waiter and he was super helpful and attentive. Will definitely return to try their Platinum Tier.

Had a great dining experience at Gyu Samurai! The food was fresh, the quality of the meat was excellent, and everything came out quickly. The restaurant was clean and had a great atmosphere. A special shout-out to Troy, who made our experience even better. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional from start to finish. He took the time to explain the menu, checked on us throughout the meal, kept our table well taken care of, and made sure we had everything we needed. His genuine hospitality really stood out and made us feel welcome. Excellent food and outstanding service. Thanks again, Troy! We’ll definitely be back and will recommend this place to our friends.

Chubby Cattle Little Tokyo’s Silver tier AYCE is legitimately impressive—the unlimited premium cuts (Full Blood Wagyu Knuckle, Thin Sliced Beef Tongue, Miso Wagyu Chuck Eye Log, Short Ribs, Brisket, etc.) were fresh, flavorful, and grilled perfectly at the table. The Matcha Mille Crepe Cake was a nice finisher too. Tablet ordering is seamless, food comes out quick, and for $58 subtotal (+ tax) as a solo diner, it’s a good value for high-end wagyu. My first server Troy was excellent—attentive, friendly, and helpful with the whole meal flow. The shift change brought the second server, who fumbled the end badly. They brought the check in a folder propped like a triangle (half out for easy grab), but it was unstable, tipped sideways, and landed right in my remaining crepe cake, splashing sauce/ink everywhere. I salvaged the clean part, but it’s frustrating to see good dessert wasted like that after a solid gym/rolling day. Then came the “take your time” line… followed by them returning in under a minute to check if I was ready to pay. When I paid cash (handed over a $100 bill), they immediately asked if I needed any change back—which just amplified the rushed, tip-fishing vibe instead of letting me enjoy the last moments. I’d much prefer honest communication (e.g., “another table’s waiting”) over the insincere patience + quick pressure. To clarify, I finished within the 90-minute limit (started ~4:39 PM, bill around 6:01 PM), but the rushed bill handling and pressure felt like it cut into the full allotment I paid for. If the policy is 90 minutes of enjoyment, honest cues about table waits would help maintain fairness without the insincere pacing. The food and initial service deserve praise (easily 5 stars there), but the clumsy drop, hovering, and change prompt knocked it way down. Management could fix this with better training on bill presentation and genuine pacing. Still worth it for the wagyu if you’re okay with potential busy-night quirks—just hope for a steadier server.

I have been to chubby cattle in Rowland Heights, Irvine, and Cerritos before this one and I think this one is on par with Rowland heights as my number 1! The food was perfectly seasoned, the portions were amazing, and the arrival of everything was timely. Our server Ben was super nice and checked up on us the perfect amount. He explained the menu well and gave us great service. He made the whole experience amazing!

Got the Gold Tier for $78/pp and it was amazing! Ordering is easy through an iPad, and food comes out quickly. Meat is high quality, and there's plenty of other delicious options for those in the party who don't eat beef. Troy gave us amazing service and was helpful throughout!

I visited for the first time and had a really great experience, especially thanks to Kevin, our server. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and gave excellent recommendations that made ordering so much easier. His service truly made a strong impression on me. The food was good and enjoyable, though not quite “wow” level. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice—comfortable, clean, and well-designed, which made the overall dining experience pleasant. The only downside is that the prices are a bit on the higher side, but the service and ambiance help make up for it. Overall, I had a positive first visit, and Kevin’s service is definitely the reason I’d come back again.

I’ve been to this location several times. I love my experience every time but my favorite so far has been when Esther was our server. So sweet and attentive and we had an absolute blast with her. Hoping we can dine with her every time we come!
